McCall!

If you're wondering where we got this snowy picture...
We went to McCall this weekend, and boy, was it WINTERY!! It was absolutely beautiful. Its only 100 miles from Boise, and Casey's parents were very kind to let us use some of their time share points and stay in one of the beautiful condos there-THANK YOU!
It snowed probably a foot and a half while we were there. Carson couldn't get enough of it! The big trees, (as Carson would say, "Big, big Chri-ma Twees!") the snow, the Christmas decorations and lights, it was right out of a movie. This was his first time in the snow. We bought him a snowsuit and all he wanted to do was bundle up and tromp through the snow! It was so stinkin cute! The only problem, was that Casey and I didn't pack our snow gear, so each time out in the snow was COLD! And driving there and back was a bit treacherous and slow going, but it was worth it. We had a great time!

Constant Changes

So, there has been quite a bit of change in our lives lately. Casey was laid off at Deloitte very unexpectedly and suddenly the first week of September. It was pretty scary for us. With a mortgage and a little boy, we were pretty much paralyzed for a while. But, we have come through it just fine. I was able to work at a few dental offices temporarily while Casey was on the job hunt.

Right before his severance was up, Casey started working for Scentsy, yes the scented wickless candle company! Their corporate headquarters are here in the Boise area and Casey is a staff accountant there. We are really grateful that he has a job. However, he does want to get back into public accounting. He worked really hard last year, while he was working for Deloitte, and he became a CPA in August. So, we are still in the planning phases of what is going to happen in the next 2-3 years. Casey will be taking the GMAT this December (please keep this in your prayers) and if his score is good enough then he will be applying to grad school to start next fall. Our first choice of schools is BYU Provo. They have a Masters in Accounting program, and as members of the church, he could get a great education (even ranked better than Harvard) for a great price.

We'll keep you posted. Thanks to all our friends and family that have been praying for us and supporting us. We have been truly blessed during this crazy time and we really appreciate everything. We love you all so much!

I'm a blogger now!!

Hi Everyone! There is always so much going on with us, and I feel like I don't get to tell everyone enough through facebook. So, since most of our loved ones are so far away, I thought I'd start a blog so we can stay better connected! I hope you love it, and I hope I'm good enough to keep up on it! Love you all!
